Geir Christian Solvær

Geir Christian Solvær has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Geir Christian'smost recent position was with Aptic AB, where they served as the Director Consulting - Sr. Advisor from October 2020 onwards. Prior to that, they worked at Prosolis AS as a Business Consultant, focusing on business development, business case modeling, and transformation and commercialization projects. Geir Christian also provided start-up advisory support for commercialization and business case design. Before joining Prosolis AS, Geir worked at Experian as a Client Director, where they consulted clients in applying decision data and technology to reduce risks in credit and financing operations. Geir Christian also identified and built a pipeline of medium/large accounts within the banking/finance, insurance, and retail sectors.

Geir's previous experience includes roles at Söderberg & Partners, Marsh AS, Epinion, Eika, DNB, Ikano Bank SE, and GE Money Bank. At Söderberg & Partners, they worked in business development and as an insurance broker, developing diverse group/affinity insurance services and programs for clients. At Marsh AS, they served as a client executive, focusing on brokering and managing relations with clients' group insurance programs.

At Epinion, Geir worked as an analyst and consultant, producing quantitative and qualitative reports on Voice of Customer and Voice of Employee for various organizations. At Eika, they held the position of sales manager, and at DNB, they served as a client executive, providing consultative client management and business sales for commercial leasing asset and equipment finance.

During their time at Ikano Bank SE, Geir held multiple roles, including business development project and program lead/Nordic account manager, where they led a group of key account managers to win and grow a large Nordic strategic account. Geir Christian was also a sales manager at Ikano Bank SE. At GE Money Bank, they worked as a new business development manager, leading large-scale business development and sales projects for strategic clients across different industries.

Geir Christian Solvær's education history begins in 1986 when they attended BSIS - Befalskolen for Infanteriet, where they completed their Befalsutdanning in Infantry. Geir Christian then went on to enroll at BI Norwegian Business School from 1988 to 1992, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Management, Business & Marketing (NMH/BI).

In 2012, Geir attended BI Norwegian Business School again, this time studying Risk Management & Insurance. Geir Christian completed their studies in this field in 2015, becoming a licensed insurance broker/autorisert forsikringsmegler.

Geir returned to BI Norwegian Business School in 2016 and pursued a Master of Management Program focused on Digitalization, Innovation & New Business Models. Geir Christian completed this program in 2017.

Most recently, in 2020 and 2021, Geir attended BI Norwegian Business School for an executive course in Competitive Advantage through applying Sustainable Business & Growth processes.

In addition to their academic achievements, Geir has obtained several additional certifications. These include the Digital Transformation Series from the Project Management Institute (obtained in March 2021), PRINCE2® Certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice (obtained in September 2019), Solution Selling from LinkedIn (obtained in November 2018), Design Thinking: Understanding the Process from LinkedIn (obtained in April 2017), and the Certified Insurance Broker certification (Autorisert Forsikringsmegler) from ForsikringsMeglerne (obtained in August 2015).
