Joan Hayner

Joan Hayner has had a long and varied career. Joan began their career in 1987 as a Tax Accountant at Ernst & Young. In 1997, they joined CapitalCare Medical Group as CEO, Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Controller. That same year, they also joined Community Care Physicians, P.C. as Chief Operating Officer. In 2007, they became a Board President at the Alliance for Positive Health, formerly known as the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York. Joan has held various officer positions over the past 12 years and is currently a member of the finance and governance committees. In 2009, they became Board President of NYMGMA. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Market President, Northeast at aptihealth.

Joan Hayner obtained their BBA in Accounting from Marymount University between 1986 and 1988, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting. Joan also holds a Certified Medical Practice Executive certification from the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
