Rachel Black has a diverse work experience. Rachel began their career in 2002 as a Cryptologic Technician Communications for the US Navy. In 2005, they became a Systems Administrator for a U.S. Government Contractor. Here, they performed maintenance, migration, and management on Windows and UNIX servers, desktop to satellite communications on various platforms and operating systems. Rachel also managed Web services, Oracle databases, and ArcGIS Server 9. In 2013, Rachel became the Business Owner and Operator of Cafe by Day. In 2018, they became a High School Business Teacher for Longview Independent School District. In this role, they increased enrollment of 2nd year business path students by 35%, created and implemented differentiated, hands-on, technology engaged lesson plans, and tutored, mentored, and motivated at-risk students. In 2020, Rachel joined World Wide Technology as a Technical GRC Project Manager. Here, they were a member of Citi’s Public Cloud Embedded Risk and Control Team focusing on governance, risk management and compliance. Rachel also led the creation and maintenance of processes, standards, how-to guidelines, and reporting documentation. In 2021, Rachel took on the role of Manager, Provider Recruitment & Strategy at aptihealth.

Rachel Black has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Concordia University Texas from 2013 to 2016, majoring in Business Administration and Management, General. Rachel is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration - MBA from the University of North Texas, with a focus on Strategic Management.
