Sherry Xiao

Sherry Xiao is an experienced Production Engineer currently serving on the founding team at Aptos since February 2022. Prior to this role, Sherry worked at Meta from September 2019 to February 2022, contributing to the development of Diem Core, where responsibilities included building deployment automation for Diem nodes and operating the testing network. Sherry also held the position of Production Engineer at Instagram from February 2017 to September 2019, focusing on automation tools, capacity planning, and scaling services while supporting software engineers. Earlier experience includes a Research Assistant role at Temple University, where Sherry collaborated on high-performance computing cloud projects. Sherry holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Temple University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Cognitive Science from Xiamen University, along with additional studies at UC San Diego Extended Studies.
