Cheryl Perera

Cheryl Perera has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the nonprofit and healthcare sectors. Cheryl is currently serving as the President & CEO of APTUS Treatment Centre since May 2022. Prior to this, Cheryl was the Strategic Director, Partnerships, Growth & Innovation at Lumenus Community Services from April 2020 to June 2022. From January 2018 to April 2020, they held the position of Senior Director, System Access and Complex Special Needs at Skylark Children, Youth and Families. Cheryl also has experience working at VHA Home HealthCare, where they served as the Director, New Ventures & Community Programs from October 2008 to January 2018, and as the Manager, Strategic Projects from October 2007 to October 2008. Cheryl was previously associated with the Aphasia Institute, where they held the roles of Senior Consultant, Business Development from September 2006 to October 2007, and Director of Operations and Development from May 2004 to September 2006. Cheryl's early professional experience includes working as the Supervisor, Administration, Development & Quality at Griffin Centre Mental Health Services from January 2003 to May 2004.

Cheryl Perera pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Schulich School of Business - York University, completing their degree between 1998 and 2003. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto, which they accomplished from 1991 to 1993.
