Matthew Grayson

CIO IT Division Manager at APWU Health Plan

Matthew Grayson has extensive experience in the field of information technology. Matthew started their career as a System Administrator at The Steritech Group, Inc in 2002, supporting network and applications critical to company operations. Matthew then moved to Multi-Specialty Healthcare as a Network Administrator, where they managed network connectivity and successfully brought the company to PCI DSS 2.0 compliance status. Matthew also worked as a Network Administrator at Advanced Medical Management, where they configured, installed, and maintained the corporate network infrastructure.

In 2005, Matthew joined Payment Solutions Inc. as a Network / Systems Administrator, responsible for end user support and managing core business systems. Matthew then continued their role as a Systems Engineer at the company, where they provided end user support for multiple platforms, designed system strategies, and monitored application and network performance.

In 2007, Matthew joined Bravo Health as a QNXT Systems Manager / Systems Engineer, where they managed the QNXT system. Matthew later joined Healthspring Inc. as an Infrastructure Manager / QNXT Engineer, where they were responsible for managing the QNXT system and overseeing a team, and ensuring system maintenance and upgrades with minimal impact on availability.

Most recently, in 2014, Matthew joined American Postal Workers Union Health Plan (APWUHP) as an IT Director. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of CIO IT Division Manager at APWU Health Plan.

Matthew Grayson received a Diploma in Information Technology/Networking from ECPI University. Matthew then pursued a degree in IT Networking from ECPI University, completing it between 2000 and 2002. In 2021, Matthew enrolled in HarvardX and successfully completed the Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age course. Matthew obtained a certification for this course from HarvardX in November 2021.
