Adam Kessler has extensive work experience in the finance and insurance sectors. Adam is currently working as a Portfolio Implementation Associate at AQR Capital Management since January 2022. Prior to this, they had a summer analyst role at the same company in 2021. From 2018 to 2020, Adam worked at New York Life Insurance Company as a Corporate Vice President & Actuary, focusing on financial projections. Before that, they held various actuarial positions at Prudential Financial from 2013 to 2018, including Director, Actuary and Associate Actuary roles.
Adam Kessler completed their Master of Financial Engineering degree in Financial Mathematics at Baruch College from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they attended Penn State University from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science. Adam's education history also includes high school at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North from 2005 to 2009.
In addition to their degrees, Adam holds several certifications. Adam obtained the Advanced C++11/C++14 and Multidisciplinary Applications certification from QUANTNET INC in June 2020. Prior to that, they obtained the C++ Programming for Financial Engineering certification in October 2019, also from QUANTNET INC. Adam's other certifications include the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute, obtained in September 2017, the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) from the Society of Actuaries, obtained in March 2016, the Certified Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) from the Society of Actuaries, obtained in July 2014, and the Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) from the American Academy of Actuaries, obtained in February 2014.
