John Xu

John Xu, CFA has a strong background in financial engineering and application development. John has over 30 years of experience working in various roles in the finance and technology fields.

From 2017 to present, John worked at AQR Capital Management as a Vice President in Portfolio Finance Engineering. In this role, they managed an agile engineering team that supported portfolio finance business functions such as cash management, margin calculation, financing, and data acquisition.

Prior to that, John worked at Putnam Investments from 2010 to 2016. John held the position of Director of Enterprise Architecture and was responsible for leading teams in areas such as enterprise-wide Agile transformation, technology evaluation and standardization, system design, and employee technology training. John also played a key role in the transition to cloud-ready application development using AWS.
