Vereleo Batao

Vereleo Batao has a strong background in security and network engineering. Vereleo started their career at Accenture in 2006 as an Associate Software Engineer. In 2008, they joined Planet Payment as a Network & Security Engineer, where they worked until 2012. From 2012 to 2016, Vereleo worked at KCG Holdings, Inc. as a Security Engineer. Since 2016, they have been working at AQR Capital Management in the same role as a Security Engineer.

Vereleo Batao obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Mapúa University, attending from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, they have attained several certifications in the field of information security. Vereleo obtained their Electronics and Communications Engineering Licensure from the Professional Regulation Commission, Philippines in April 2006. Subsequently, they acquired certifications such as CCNA Security from Cisco in November 2010 and Cisco Certified Network Associate in December 2007. In 2012, they received the GPEN (GIAC Penetration Tester) certification from GIAC. In the following years, they obtained the GISP (GIAC Information Security Professional) certification in February 2014, the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification from (ISC)2 in March 2014, and the GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler) certification from GIAC in November 2014. Most recently, in December 2015, they obtained the GCIA (GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst) certification from GIAC.
