Yakir Kadkoda has extensive experience in the field of security and software development. Yakir has worked as a Lead Security Researcher at Aqua Security since November 2021. Prior to that, they held the same role at Argon Security, which was acquired by Aqua Security. At the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel, Yakir served as a Red Team Leader from December 2019 to November 2021, and as a Security Researcher from December 2017 to December 2019. Yakir also has a background in the Israel Defense Forces, where they held various roles including Head of Programming Course, Full Stack Team Leader, Project Manager & Software Architect, and Programming Course Instructor.
Yakir Kadkoda attended the Mamram - Computer Academy of IDF from 2010 to 2011, where they studied Computer Programming. Yakir later pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from The College of Management Academic Studies, completing their degree between 2014 and 2018. In terms of additional certifications, Yakir obtained the OSCP - Offensive Security Certified Professional in 2019. Furthermore, they acquired various certifications related to cybersecurity and penetration testing, including CDP - Certified DevSecOps Professional in 2022, GXPN - GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester, CRTE - Certified Red Team Expert, SEC660: Advanced Penetration Testing, Exploit Writing, and Ethical Hacking, CRTP - Certified Red Team Professional, and eMAPT - eLearnSecurity Mobile Application Penetration Tester in 2021. Yakir also became a GIAC Advisory Board Member in 2021.
