Erik Scher

Erik Scher, PhD in Materials Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the chemical industry. Currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at Koloma since July 2023, Erik drives the company’s strategic partnership initiatives and international licensing efforts. As an Operating Partner at True North Venture Partners since December 2020, Erik focuses on commercialization strategies and investment decisions related to chemical process technologies and hydrogen projects. Previously, Erik held leadership roles including Independent Board Chair at Trillium Renewable Chemicals, Independent Board Director at Aether Biomachines, and President, Chief Commercial Officer at Hyconix. With a strong background in research and development, Erik managed key departments at Siluria Technologies, where contributions covered catalysts and hydrogen production technologies. Erik has also co-founded multiple companies and served as an advisor across various stages of business growth, maintaining a focus on innovative technologies within the field.
