Danielle Maitland

Danielle Maitland has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2009 when they worked as a Summer Student Researcher at McMaster University. Danielle was then a Teaching Assistant at McMaster University from 2012 to 2013, and a Field Operations Supervisor Assistant at Statistics Canada in 2016. In 2017, they were a Research Assistant - World Crops at Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, and in 2018 they worked as a Consultant at the University of Stirling Institute of Aquaculture and as a Director of Science and Cultivation Technology and an Aquaponics Development Supervisor at Aqualitas Inc.

Danielle Maitland has a comprehensive educational background. Danielle obtained a Bachelor of Engineering and Biosciences from McMaster University in 2012, followed by a Master of Applied Sciences in Chemical Engineering from the same university in 2014. Danielle then went on to receive a Horticulturalist Diploma from the University of Guelph in 2019, and an MSc of Sustainable Aquaculture from the University of Stirling in 2018. Danielle is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences at Dalhousie University, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Additionally, Danielle has obtained certifications from various institutions, such as Engineers Nova Scotia, World Education Services, Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, Duolingo, Government of Ontario, and Heart & Stroke.
