Oliver Pennel has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Oliver also has experience as a Principal Process Engineer at Wood, where they worked on various projects in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Oliver was responsible for licensor management and process deliverables in these projects.

Oliver has also worked as a Senior Process Engineer at companies like Amec Foster Wheeler, Bechtel Oil, Gas, & Chemicals, and M+W Group, where they gained expertise in process engineering for different projects.

Their career started with an internship as a Process Engineering Intern at BP in 2006.

Oliver Pennel pursued their education at The University of Manchester from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Chemical Engineering. In January 2014, they also obtained the certification of Charted Chemical Engineer from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).
