April Martin

3D Character Artist at Aquifer

April Martin is a 3D character artist who has worked in the industry for over six years. April started their career as a freelance digital sculptor and character artist, working with clients such as Funimation, A-kon, FluxTide Designs, Shinka Studios, Cute Monster Props, and Motis. April then transitioned into working as a production artist for Stotatic, where they created art assets for casino games including 2D illustrations, 2D animations, UI, concepts, storyboards, and particle effects. After a year and a half at Stotatic, they moved on to intern at PicturePlane Imaging for two months before taking on a role as a picture framer at Hobby Lobby. After 10 months at Hobby Lobby, they took on a cashier position at McAlister's Deli for an additional 10 months. It was during this time that they began to pursue their passion for concept art and prop creation, leading their to take on a role as a concept artist for Awkward Games. After three years with Awkward Games, they transitioned into freelance work as a concept artist and prop creator for Shinka Studios. April then returned to freelance work full-time, working with clients such as Azure Props and Aquifer Motion.

April Martin has a B.A. from Texas State University-San Marcos in Communication Design, which they earned in 2010. April also has an Associates from Central Texas College in Painting, which they earned in 2006. In between their two degrees, they attended the Art Institute of Dallas for Media Arts and Animation, which they completed in 2008.
