Jorge Palomino Blázquez

Jorge Palomino Blázquez has a diverse range of work experience in the energy sector. Jorge currently works at Aquila Capital as the Head of EMEA Region Supply Chain and Project Procurement. Prior to that, they held the position of Global lead contracted services procurement at the same company. Before joining Aquila Capital, Blázquez worked at Canadian Solar as the Energy Group - EPC LATAM. Jorge also served as a Speaker in Master of Electrical Generation Technologies at Universidad Europea. Blázquez has extensive experience at ACCIONA, where they held the position of Head of E&C Contract Management. Jorge began their career at Gamesa, where they held various roles including North America Sales Operations Manager and pre-sales engineer. Blázquez also served as a Speaker in Master of Renewables Energies at Universidad Europea de Madrid. Jorge started their career at DOEL as the Engineering and Projects - Area manager. Throughout their career, Blázquez has been involved in project management, contract negotiation, risk analysis, and budget preparation.

Jorge Palomino Blázquez received a Bachelor's degree in ITI Centrales y redes, specializing in power distribution and generation, from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid between 1995 and 2004. Jorge later pursued a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the same institution beginning in 2008. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from UNIR, expected to be completed in 2023.
