Nuno Figueira

Nuno Figueira is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in hydropower and project finance. Currently serving as the Head of Hydropower in Portugal for Aquila Capital, Nuno oversees a portfolio of 21 small hydro power plants with a combined installed capacity of 107MW. Prior roles include Managing Director and CFO at Aguia Enlica, executive directorships at HAITONG focusing on corporate finance, non-performing loans, and project finance, as well as extensive experience at Espírito Santo Investment Bank in various project finance positions. Nuno also held roles at Banco Efisa and Millennium bcp, emphasizing structured finance and public-private partnership projects. Educational qualifications include completion of the Sustainable Finance Program from Nova School of Business and Economics, and a Master's degree (course units completed) in Finance from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management.
