David Cunningham

David Cunningham currently serves as a Professor of Theology at Aquinas College since July 2022 and has held the position of Executive Director of NetVUE with the Council of Independent Colleges since September 2017. Previously, David was a Professor of Religion at Hope College from July 2003 to June 2022, and an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau for the year 2002-2003. David's earlier roles include Professor of Theology and Ethics at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Ecumenical Research in Strasbourg. Furthermore, David was an Associate Professor of Theology at the University of St. Thomas from July 1990 to June 1997. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Religion/Religious Studies from Duke University, a Master of Arts in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Northwestern University.
