Alexander Li has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Alexander started their career as an Intern in Economic Development at the City of Kent and then worked as an Analyst in International Trade at the US Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration. Alexander later joined Arbor Advisors as an M&A Analyst.
In 2012, Alexander joined Costco Wholesale, where they held the position of General Management on the accelerated track. During their tenure, they successfully managed the P&L, significantly increasing both the annual bottom-line profits and top-line revenue. Alexander implemented strategies to reduce SG&A expenses and improve technology and work flows.
Alexander then transitioned to Bears Nutrition as a Supply Chain & Start-up Operator. Alexander also ensured timely delivery from Austria to China, overcoming operational challenges.
At Scalable, Alexander served as a Program Manager, leading the company's rebranding and reorganizing efforts across multiple offices worldwide. Alexander streamlined processes, reducing operational inefficiencies and cutting expenditures. Alexander also implemented OKR Looker dashboards to enhance transparency and data tracking for brand owners.
More recently, Alexander held the position of Operations and Technical Project Manager at both Aquis Hair and K18 Hair. Alexander streamlined operational processes, automated tasks, and oversaw major projects such as transitions to new ERP systems and the development of KPI dashboards utilizing SQL and Excel.
Throughout their career, Alexander has demonstrated strong skills in operations, project management, data analytics, supply chain, and technical systems. Alexander has a proven track record of optimizing processes, driving growth, and providing strategic leadership.
Alexander Li began their education at Stanford University in 2009 and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations. In 2008, they attended the University of Washington for a year, focusing on Spanish and English studies but did not obtain a degree from there.
In 2020, Alexander enrolled at the University of London to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, which is expected to be completed in 2024. Additionally, in 2022, they plan to attend ESSEC Business School for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategy and Digital Transformation.
Outside of their formal education, Alexander has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they completed the Excel Skills for Business Specialization from Coursera. In 2020, they obtained the Google IT Support Professional Certificate from Coursera. In 2021, Alexander earned the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master certification from the Project Management Institute, as well as the CompTIA Project+ Certification from CompTIA.
