Yang Xie

Director of Quantitative Researcher at AQUMON

Yang Xie has extensive work experience in quantitative research and trading. They are currently the Director of Quantitative Researcher at AQUMON, where they manage a team in conducting alpha research in various assets and overseeing trading operations. Before joining AQUMON, Yang held the role of Quant Trader at Athena Capital Research LLC for seven years, where they were involved in quantitative trading. They also worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Cornell University, gaining experience in research and education. Additionally, Yang interned at UBS Investment Bank in equity trading and derivatives. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Overseas Education Consultant at Jindongfang International Education Center and served as Vice Chairman of the Chinese Student and Scholar Association at Cornell University.

Yang Xie completed their high school education at Zhi-Xin Middle School in 2003, where they graduated with a High School Graduate degree in Science. Subsequently, they attended Peking University in 2003-2004, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. After that, from 2004 to 2007, Yang Xie pursued a Bachelor of Science with First Honors in Math and Physics at The University of Hong Kong. They continued their education at Cornell University from 2007 to 2013, obtaining a Ph.D. in Physics.
