Theresa Thompson

Theresa Thompson is an experienced Applications Scientist and Engineer currently with Araceli Biosciences since January 2020 and previously held similar positions at Phoseon Technology from November 2016 to December 2019. Prior to their roles in applications science, Theresa served as Chief Science Officer at Chimerochem, LLC from 2011 to December 2016, leading innovative biotechnology developments. Theresa's extensive background includes serving as Vice President and Director of Research and Development at Dimera Incorporated from May 2005 to December 2014, where Theresa supervised laboratory staff and managed various laboratory functions. Additional roles include consulting for a National Institutes of Health grant focused on women's heart health, guest lecturing on bioscience topics, and serving as a Senior Scientist at Oligos Etc., Inc., where Theresa provided technical support and developed quality control procedures. Theresa began their career as a postdoctoral researcher at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, focusing on protein research related to carcinogenesis. Theresa holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and a BS in Biology, both from the University of Southern California.
