Laurent Louis

Laurent Louis is a seasoned geological consultant currently working at Aramco since September 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Scientist at New England Research Inc. from August 2019 to September 2023 and as President of Adage Corporation from September 2018 to September 2023. Laurent also served as Principal Scientist at New England Research Inc. from November 2014 to September 2018, R&D Petrophysicist at Shell IEP from June 2012 to October 2014, and R&D Petrophysicist at BP Houston from May 2010 to June 2012. Academic experience includes being an Assistant Professor of Earth Science at Université de Cergy-Pontoise from 2006 to 2010 and a Post-doctoral researcher in Rock Mechanics at Stony Brook University from November 2003 to February 2006. Laurent holds a PhD in Rock Physics from CY Cergy Paris Université, a DEA in Geophysics from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, and a Maitrise in Geophysics from Université Paris Cité.
