Onur Catakoglu has a strong background in the field of information security. Onur started their career as an intern at VisioThink Information Technologies Inc. in 2010. Onur then worked as a teaching assistant at Sabanci University from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, Onur joined LOGO Siber Güvenlik ve Ağ Teknolojileri A.Ş. as a software developer, where they worked on developing a next generation firewall product. In 2014, they became a security researcher at EURECOM, where they stayed until 2017. From 2018 to 2021, Onur worked as an information security architect at Amadeus IT Group. In 2021, they joined Glovo as a cyber defense lead, where they built and led the cyber defense team. In 2023, they became a lead security engineer at Dataiku and later transitioned to the role of lead threat hunter at Aramis Group. Onur's experience includes areas such as security incident response, threat detection, and information security architecture.
Onur Catakoglu obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from EURECOM between 2014 and 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Sabanci University from 2011 to 2013. Earlier, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Sabanci University, which they attended from 2006 to 2011.
