Oscar Silva

Oscar Silva has worked in the technology industry since 2008. Oscar began their career as a Network Engineer at The University of Texas at Austin, where they maintained, monitored, and supported networking hardware. Oscar then progressed to a Senior Network Engineer role, where they were the primary engineer of DNS and IPAM services and servers, managing over 200 domains. In 2018, Silva joined Market Logic Software as a DevOps/System Administrator, where they were responsible for installation, monitoring, and maintenance of Linux virtual servers in vSphere, Openstack, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure environments, as well as deployment and maintenance of infrastructure and services with GitOps (flux). In 2022, Silva began working as a Site Reliability Engineer at ArangoDB.

Oscar Silva obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin between 1989 and 1993. Oscar also holds a CCNA certification.
