Umesh Patel

Umesh Patel has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Umesh is currently working as a Director at Infinera since September 2021. Prior to that, they were the Founder and CEO of Arastu Systems, where they provided semiconductor and software engineering services. Umesh also worked as a Director for ASIC IP Solutions at Sibridge Technologies, and as an ASIC Manager at PLX, an Avago Technologies Company. Umesh was a Director at Glabs, Inc and a Principal at Teranetics, with responsibilities in semiconductor SOC architecture and design. Umesh started their career as a Design Engineer at Netxen/QLogic and later became a Staff Design Engineer at XaQti/Vitesse Semiconductor. Umesh also worked as a Design Application Engineer at Synopsys, Inc, where they provided technical consulting knowledge for ASICs and FPGAs. Umesh's experience gives him a strong background in semiconductor engineering and a deep understanding of various aspects of the industry.

Umesh Patel holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from California State University, Northridge, which they obtained from 1994 to 1996. Prior to this, from 1988 to 1992, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
