Guillermo Federico Olmedo is a seasoned professional in the fields of climate action, ecosystems, and soil science. Currently serving as the Climate Action and Landscapes Manager at ARAUCO since September 2019, Guillermo develops and maintains ecosystem models focused on soil, water, and biodiversity, while overseeing operational programs based on these models. Previous roles include Principal Researcher and Head of Division for Ecosystems, Productivity, and Climate Change at INTA, as well as leadership positions in geomatics and precision agriculture at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. Guillermo has also contributed as an International Consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organization and served as the Soil Information Regional Representative for the Global Soil Partnership. An established figure in soil geography, Guillermo led initiatives in capacity building across Latin America and the Caribbean.
