Mauricio Saavedra Neira

Mauricio Saavedra Neira possesses extensive experience in geographic information systems and forest management. Currently serving as the Encargado Gestion Tecnica at ARAUCO since November 2019, Mauricio has focused on corporate GIS analysis. From April 2015 to 2019, Mauricio worked at ARAUCO as an Analista GIS, where responsibilities included spatial information generation and updating surfaces. Prior experience includes the role of Cartography and Geomatics Chief at Orionforestal, overseeing GIS analysis and developing software for managing forestry assets. Mauricio's earlier roles involved cartography and environmental impact assessments at Forestal Comaco S.A. and foundational technical work at the University of Liège. Educational background includes a degree in Forestry Engineering from Instituto Profesional Virginio Gómez and secondary education from College Saint Louis in Belgium.
