Gerry Portela, CPA, has a diverse work experience in the accounting and finance field. Gerry started their career as a Division II Student Athlete in the NCAA from 2012 to 2016. Following that, they worked as a Tax Accountant at Garcia, Espinosa, Miyares & Co., LLP from 2016 to 2019. From 2019 to 2022, they served as a Tax & Litigation Support Associate at Garcia Santa María PLLC. Currently, Gerry holds the position of Accounting Manager at Arazoza Brothers since January 2023, and will soon transition to the role of Vice President of Accounting & Finance within the same company from December 2023.
Gerry Portela, CPA, holds a Master of Accounting - Taxation degree from the University of West Florida, which was obtained in 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Spring Hill College in 2016. For their secondary education, Gerry attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory School from 2005 to 2012. Additionally, they obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in 2023.
