Mette Sønder Hansen

Mette Sønder Hansen has extensive work experience in the banking and financial sectors. Mette Sønder is currently the Head of IR, Funding, and Rating at Arbejdernes Landsbank since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Lead Funding and Rating Specialist at the same company from May 2022 to August 2023. Before joining Arbejdernes Landsbank, they worked as a Special Advisor at Finanstilsynet, the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority. In this role, they were a part of the Division for Specialised and North Atlantic Banks from June 2020 to February 2021, and the Division for Supervision of Smaller Banks from December 2017 to June 2020. Mette also has experience as a Senior Advisor at EKF Eksport Kredit Fonden from February 2016 to November 2017. Mette Sønder began their career as an Analyst at Garanti Invest from March 2006 to October 2010, followed by a role as an Analyst at Dexia Bank Denmark from April 2005 to February 2006. Mette's early career includes positions as a Financial Markets trainee and a Student at Fixed Income and Economic Research at HSH Nordbank from 2002 to 2005. Mette Sønder Hansen has held various roles throughout their career, with a focus on banking supervision, financial analysis, and international relations.

Mette Sønder Hansen obtained their M.Sc./Cand. Polit degree in Economics from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, where they studied from 1997 to 2004. In 2002, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for a summer school program focused on Finance.
