Yurong Xin

Yurong Xin has diverse work experience in the field of computational biology, data science, and bioinformatics. Currently, Yurong is serving as the Head of Computational Biology and Data Science at Arbor Biotechnologies since August 2023. Prior to this, Yurong held the position of Senior Director, Head of Data Science at Laronde since March 2021.

Before joining Laronde, Yurong worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Bioinformatics from September 2019 to March 2021. Yurong's earlier experience includes working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from August 2011 to September 2019 as a Scientist - Associate Director. In this role, Yurong focused on the discovery of disease targets and biomarkers using molecular profiling data and meta-analysis approaches.

Yurong also gained valuable experience as an Assistant Research Scientist at Columbia University from February 2008 to August 2011, where Yurong investigated epigenetics in neuropsychiatric disorders and developed algorithms for data analysis. Yurong's career started as a Postdoctoral Fellow at New York University from November 2005 to January 2008.

Yurong Xin holds a PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Molecular Biology from Rutgers University. Prior to that, they earned an MS in Genetics and a BS in Biology from Fudan University.
