Deanna Stevens has a strong background in biomedical sciences and medical writing. Deanna began their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at Brandeis University in 2003. Deanna then worked as a Research Technician at MIT from 2004 to 2005, followed by a role as a Research Technician at the Whitehead Institute from 2005 to 2007. In 2008, Deanna joined the University of California at San Diego as a Ph.D. Candidate in Biomedical Sciences, where they conducted research on the link between mitotic defects and cell death. In 2013, they transitioned into the medical writing field, starting as a Medical Writer at Arbor Scientia, where they were responsible for developing content for promotional medical education pieces and training resources. In 2015, they were promoted to Senior Medical Writer at the same company. Deanna brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both research and medical writing to their roles.
Deanna Stevens obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from UC San Diego. Deanna pursued their doctoral studies from 2007 to 2013. Prior to that, Deanna completed their undergraduate studies at Brandeis University from 2000 to 2004, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology.
