Orville Christopher McLean

Orville Christopher McLean has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Orville Christopher began their career as a Power Engineer at Mayfield Inn and Suites, where they operated and maintained boiler, turbine, and HVAC systems. Orville Christopher then worked as a Front Desk Supervisor and Auditor at Holiday Inn Airdrie, where they provided excellent customer service and managed hotel revenue.

McLean then transitioned into the field of utility vegetation management, working as an Apprentice Utility Tree Trimmer at Asplundh Canada contracted to Enmax/Fortis/Atco. Orville Christopher specialized in vegetation management near distribution lines and performed storm work under challenging conditions.

Afterwards, McLean joined ArborTech Utility Service as an Apprentice Utility Tree Trimmer, honing their skills in aerial truck work, climbing, and hazard tree removal. Orville Christopher later joined Asplundh Canada as a Safety Representative, responsible for reporting and compiling safety incidents for management and the Safety Committee.

At Saskpower, McLean worked as a Utility Vegetation Management Planner, collaborating with foresters to establish best practices for operations and developing educational practices with institutions in Saskatchewan.

Currently, McLean holds a leadership role at ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC. Orville Christopher has served as the Director of Operations, Canada, overseeing project management, communication, and compliance. Orville Christopher has also held positions as the Senior Project Manager in the Project Management Office and as a Development Lead, focusing on the development of project management tools and various aspects of project execution across North America.

Throughout their career, McLean has displayed strong project management, communication, and analytical skills, consistently delivering results and contributing to the success of the companies they have worked for.

Orville Christopher McLean has a diverse education history. Orville Christopher obtained their high school diploma from Tofield High School from 1991 to 1997. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English/Education at Augustana University College from 1997 to 1998. In 2014, Orville attended Villanova University, where they earned a Project Management Master Certificate in the field of Project Management, which they completed in 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Orville also holds several certifications. In 2010, they obtained the Arborist certification from the International Society of Arboriculture. Orville Christopher further enhanced their credentials by obtaining the Arborist-Utility Specialist certification from the same institution in 2014. In 2015, Orville obtained the prestigious Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute, further demonstrating their expertise in this area.
