Chris Bird

Chris Bird is a seasoned geophysicist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Geophysicist at ARC Resources Ltd. since October 2018, Chris specializes in the NEBC Montney area. Prior to this role, Chris was a Senior Geophysicist at Cenovus Energy, focusing on the Pipestone Montney, and worked at ConocoPhillips as a geophysicist involved in various unconventional programs, including Montney and Cretaceous tight sand plays. Chris began the professional journey as a seismic processing geophysicist at Key Seismic, processing seismic data from geometry definition to migration. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Geophysics and Seismology from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science Honours in Geophysics and Seismology from the University of Saskatchewan.
