Joseph Croney has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in technology and product development.

Joseph is currently serving as the Vice President of Arc XP Technology & Product at The Washington Post, where they started in November 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President of Technology & Product at Arc XP, starting in the same year.

Before joining The Washington Post and Arc XP, Joseph founded Beam Reach, LLC in 2016.

From 2020 to 2022, they worked as the VP Product R&D at INRIX.

Joseph started their career as an Internet Application Developer Consultant at Digital Wave Technologies, Inc. and also worked as a Maine Wilderness Guide & Camp Counselor at Flying Moose Lodge.

Joseph Croney obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Bucknell University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Joseph then went on to pursue an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management at The Wharton School from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Joseph has obtained several certifications, including USCG Merchant Marine Captain - OUPV from USCG Merchant Marine Captain - Near Coastal in December 2016, Bareboat Sailboat Captain from ASA in June 2003, Open Water Diver from PADI in June 1996, and Private Instrument Rated Single Engine Pilot from FAA in June 1995.
