Mike Thomas

Mike Thomas is an accomplished landscape architect with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as the Studio Lead for Arcadia Landscape Architecture in Tamaki Makaurau Auckland since July 2025. Previously, Mike held the position of Senior Landscape Architect and Principal at Jasmax Ltd from September 2005 to May 2025, where a team of 15 was established to manage and deliver award-winning landscape architecture projects across Aotearoa New Zealand. Early in Mike's career, notable roles included Director at Group Art Projects Ltd, where collaborations resulted in innovative landscape art installations, and Senior Landscape Architect positions at EDAW and Urbis Hong Kong, focusing on large-scale developments and winning international design competitions. Mike is a graduate of Lincoln University with a BLA (Hons) in Landscape Architecture and has pursued additional certifications in regenerative design and garden design.
