Emily Weiss

Emily Weiss is a scientist at Arcadia Science since July 2022, specializing in intermicrobial interactions through high-throughput sequencing methods. Prior to this role, Emily Weiss served as a postdoctoral scientist and researcher/PhD candidate at UC San Diego, focusing on bacterial responses to neighboring microorganisms. Emily Weiss has extensive experience in teaching various topics in microbiology and molecular biology as a teaching assistant, and completed a notable internship in genomic applications at Illumina. Earlier research roles included work as a research assistant at DuPont and a graduate research assistant at the University of Georgia, contributing to genetic engineering projects. Emily Weiss holds a PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Biology from UC San Diego, as well as a microMBA from the Rady School of Management and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Genomics and Applied Biotechnology, respectively, from the University of Georgia.
