Hugo Villeneuve

Hugo Villeneuve has a diverse range of work experience. Hugo is currently serving as the Vice President Special Projects at ArcelorMittal Mining Canada G.P./ArcelorMittal Infrastructure Canada G.P., a role they began in February 2023. Prior to that, they were the General Manager PMO at the same company from March 2020 to February 2023.

Before their current position, Hugo worked at Rio Tinto as the Senior Manager PMO & Delivery AMER & EMEA from July 2019 to March 2020.

From 2016 to 2019, Hugo held various roles at Oyu Tolgoi LLC, including Manager Underground IS&T, Manager Delivery Underground IS&T, Manager Applications Delivery, and Principal Advisor Underground IS&T.

Starting in 2011, Hugo worked at Rio Tinto in the positions of Superintendant Projects - Technology/Rio Tinto IS&T from March 2013 to December 2016 and PMO Project Support Officer from April 2011 to March 2013.

Prior to their time at Rio Tinto, Hugo worked at CGI as a Senior Technical Consultant (Mgr) from June 2010 to April 2011 and as a Project Manager & Senior Consultant from January 2008 to June 2010.

Additionally, Hugo served as an IT Trainer at Forgescom from 2009 to 2011 and as a Coordinator business solutions at DERYTelecom from January 2007 to January 2008.

Before these roles, they worked as a Project Manager & Consultant as a freelancer from February 2000 to December 2006.

Hugo Villeneuve earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Université du Québec à Chicoutimi in 1999 to 2002. In 2009, they also attained a PRINCE2 certification in Project IN Controlled Environments Practitioner from AGMP.
