Chandu Yellapu

Chandu Yellapu is an experienced manager with a strong background in projects and maintenance activities within the steel industry. Currently serving as a Manager at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India since November 2023, Chandu possesses extensive technical knowledge in HT and LT electrical power and control systems, as well as basic familiarity with PLCs, drives, DSS, and fire fighting systems. Previously, Chandu held various managerial and engineering roles at JSW Steel from January 2015 to November 2023, where responsibilities included maintenance management, technical documentation, and expertise in network protocols. Chandu's earlier experience includes roles at Bhushan Steel & Strips Ltd. and Vishnu Vidyut India Ltd., focusing on project and maintenance functions. Academic qualifications include a Master of Technology in Power Electronics and Drives and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.
