Irene López-Rodríguez is a Senior Researcher at ArcelorMittal, involved in R&D projects focused on monitoring and digitalization for tailing dam governance. Currently developing a Trial GIS platform for Canadian mines and tailings. Previously, Irene served as a Technical Support Specialist at Baker Hughes, managing laboratory testing and technical solutions, and worked as an Environmental Technician at FCC Servicios Ciudadanos, focusing on sustainability and compliance with environmental regulations. Experience includes roles as a Mud Logger and Data Analyst at Schlumberger, where Irene operated on offshore and onshore drilling rigs, encompassing oil and gas exploration and reporting. Irene’s background is supported by a Licentiate degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from the Universidad de Oviedo.
