Jean-Louis Uriarte has extensive experience in metallurgy and material science, currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer for packaging products at ArcelorMittal since October 2004. Key responsibilities include product design, metallurgical routing, and overseeing testing processes. Uriarte has held various engineering roles within ArcelorMittal, focusing on automotive and packaging markets, managing teams, and developing innovative materials. Prior to this, Uriarte worked as a research engineer at the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, conducting studies on inclusion behavior during VAR remelting for Aubert & Duval. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate and a D.E.A. in Material Science from Grenoble INP - UGA, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Universidad de Cantabria.
