Laurent Koenig

Laurent Koenig has extensive experience in treasury operations and financial management, currently serving as General Manager and head of Group Treasury Operations at ArcelorMittal since September 2003. In this role, Laurent oversees various treasury activities, including risk analysis, risk management, and compliance, having previously managed the treasury center for the Americas and the middle office function. Additionally, Laurent has a strong background in internal assurance, managing audit activities across multiple global regions. Prior experience includes consulting at the Rotterdam School of Management and finance control roles at CIEL Textiles, where Laurent held positions in both Mauritius and Madagascar. Laurent's academic credentials include certifications in International Treasury Management and Chartered Accountancy alongside degrees in Accounting and Finance from recognized South African institutions.
