Stephanie Werner-Dietz

EVP, Head of Human Resources at ArcelorMittal

Stephanie Werner-Dietz joined ArcelorMittal in September 2022 as Executive Vice President and global head of human resources. She will succeed Bart Wille.

Stephanie joins ArcelorMittal with a long ranging HR experience of almost 25 years at Nokia, which she joined in 1998 following her graduation from university. Throughout her career, Stephanie has held different HR leadership positions in various countries, including Germany, Finland, China, Switzerland, the Philippines, USA and Romania. After having held multiple HR business partner and expert roles across the company, Stephanie was appointed as chief people officer of Nokia in January 2020, based in Finland. In this role, Stephanie had responsibility for all people-related topics - including human resource management, real estate and health & safety - to provide a supportive working environment for all employees and to enable them to thrive. Stephanie and her team established the cornerstones of Nokia’s diverse, inclusive and open culture, as is obvious from the Nokia people strategy which Stephanie recently unveiled and which aims to establish and maintain outstanding technology leadership.
