Gavin Colvert

Gavin Colvert has a strong background in education, with their most recent position being Head of School at the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Prior to that, they served as Principal at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for six years. Before transitioning into administrative roles, Gavin was an Associate Professor and Chairperson at Assumption College, where they also served as the Director of the Ecumenical Institute for nearly 14 years.

Gavin Colvert's education history begins in 1979 when they graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory with a high school diploma. From 1983 to 1987, they attended Santa Clara University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy with Magna Cum Laude honors. This was followed by their enrollment at the University of Toronto, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy from 1987 to 1988. Gavin continued their studies at the University of Toronto and earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from 1987 to 1995. Most recently, in 2020, they attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law and completed a Graduate Certificate program in School Discipline Reform.
