Amir Farokhi

Amir Farokhi currently serves as the Head of School at The Galloway School, a position held since June 2025. Prior to this role, Amir was a City Council Member for the City of Atlanta from January 2018 to August 2025 and served as Executive Director of US Programs at CARE from January 2019 to December 2024. Amir's previous experience includes positions as Director of Corporate Council at CARE, Fellow in the Civil Society Fellowship at The Aspen Institute, and Director of Strategy at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Amir also served as Chief Operating Officer for the College Advising Corps and was the Founder and Executive Director of GeorgiaForward. Early in the career, Amir worked as an Attorney at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP. Educationally, Amir holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Doctor of Law from Duke University and Duke University School of Law, respectively, and is a graduate of The Galloway School.
