Founder & Managing Director at Archer Venture Capital

Greg Martin is the Founder and Managing Director. Prior to founding Archer, Greg was a partner with Redpoint Ventures for 11 years. Greg is also co-founder and Chairman of BetheBeast, co-founder and Vice-Chairman of Nurocor Software, and sits on the boards of Sovrn and QMerit. Greg was previously CEO of True(X) Media.

Previously, Greg led and exited investments in TrueCar (TRUE), 2U (TWOU), SquareTrade (sold to AllState), Shopkick (sold to SK Telecom), True(X) Media (sold to Fox), Yodlee (YDLE), Networks in Motion (sold to TSYS), Alacra (sold to Opus Global), TelASIC Communications (sold to MTI), Simula Labs (sold to Exist Labs), Webvisible (sold to The Berry Company) and Akana Software (sold to RogueWave). Greg was also actively involved with Redpoint’s investment in MySpace (sold to NEWS).

In addition to his role at Archer, Greg is the Founder and Managing Director of Liquid Stock, LP, a liquidity alternative for owners of private shares, which often works with Archer to create liquidity solutions. He is also co-owner of Rainmaker Securities, a merchant bank focused on private securities transactions. Greg is a Carter Scholar from the UCLA Anderson School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. Greg has never seen an infomercial he didn’t like.
