Mike Schaus

Mike Schaus is a Senior Battery Test Engineer at Archer, focusing on battery testing and development for the first commercial passenger eVTOL aircraft since September 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior R&D Test Engineer at Specialized Bicycle Components, where Mike developed e-bike electrical systems validation processes and conducted extensive mechanical and environmental testing. Additional roles encompass product development expertise across various industries, including powertrain validation at Navistar and innovation projects at the Wyss Institute at Harvard University Medical School. Mike's engineering career began at Starfire Industries, where leadership of a team led to successful product prototype delivery. Academically, Mike earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
