Robert G. Lage

Robert G. Lage is the EVP and Global Head of Product & Technology at Archer. Robert has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Robert began their career at Andersen Consulting, where they worked on a variety of projects for clients in the financial services industry. In 1991, they left Andersen Consulting to join Smith Barney as First Vice President, Asset Management Systems Development. In this role, they managed the entire application development team for Smith Barney’s Asset Management business. While at Smith Barney, they led the development of software applications and the re-engineering of operations, which resulted in cost savings of $3 million annually and dramatic improvement in the accuracy of the quarterly account statements (99% reduction in errors).

In 1997, Robert joined Prudential Investments, the asset management arm of the Prudential Insurance Company of America. While at Prudential, they led a team that was focused exclusively on Internet initiatives including the development of an innovative web site that delivers retirement planning, asset allocation, on-line trading, portfolio re-balancing, and on-line education to participants in Prudential sponsored defined contribution plans.

Robert has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia University.

After completing their BS in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University, Robert G. Lage went on to earn their certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute.
