Winka Dubbeldam is the Founder and Partner of Archi-Tectonics, NYC, LLC, established in 1994, focusing on innovative architecture and environmentally responsible design utilizing 3D parametric software. Currently serving as Chair and Professor of the Department of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania since 2013, Winka is also an External Examiner at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and has held various teaching positions, including Visiting Professor at Harvard School of Architecture and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University. With a strong background in design and project management from positions at Lumiance BV Haarlem and Eisenman Architects, Winka's educational credentials include a Masters of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a Master of Architecture from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.

Archi-Tectonics, NYC, LLC

Archi-Tectonics is a research based design practice. We aim to achieve design efficiencies that express themselves in optimal modulation, and energy-efficient, sustainable solutions. Archi-Tectonics is an expert in LEED design. Built work includes the 80,000sf Greenwich building, NYC, the four story Chelsea townhouse, the 15-story American Loft tower in Philadelphia, and the 3000 sf DUB-residence in Holland. We more recently completed the NAI in Rotterdam, the Ports1961 Flagship stores in London, Shanghai and Paris, and the Pavilion for the Dutch Fashion Biennale. Current projects under construction are the 9-story residential Vestry building, the LRH mixed-use building in NYC, the 150,000 sf Commercial building in New Mexico, and the Brewster restaurant in NYC. Publications include the three Monographs, and the work has also been published in a large number of International Architecture & Design Periodicals. Recent exhibitions include the Venice Biennale “Arsenale exhibit” [2004], the PAN exhibit in the Taylor Gallery [2006]. Performalism, in the Tel Aviv Musem of Modern Art [2008], and the ACADIA Exhibit [nyc 2010]. Winka received the “Emerging Voice” award [2001], and was awarded “Best and Brightest” by Esquire; the Genius Issue [2004]]. Archi-Tectonics was the Award winner in the IIDA / Metropolis Smart Environments Award [2006], won the Design Competition for a Sustainable Neighborhood Staten Island, NY [2008], and the Hommes Award [2011] Rotterdam.
