Archimedes: AI, Data Science, and Algorithms Research Hub
Giorgos Bouritsas is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Archimedes Research Unit at Archimedes - AI Research Hub, with ongoing positions as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and as an Adjunct Lecturer for the MSc in AI at NCSR "DEMOKRITOS". Previous experience includes working as a PhD Candidate at Imperial College London, where research focused on non-Euclidean deep learning and generative models, alongside a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Giorgos has also held positions as a Research Scientist Intern at DeepMind and as a Visiting PhD Student at EPFL. Additional roles include designing anomaly detection algorithms at ISL NCSR DEMOKRITOS and conducting research on multimodal video understanding techniques at NTUA. Giorgos holds a PhD in Computer Science from Imperial College London and a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
