Joseph Coratola Jr. AIA is an accomplished architectural professional with extensive experience in historical architecture and security infrastructure. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Security Infrastructure and Architect/Project Manager at the Architect of the Capitol since December 2016, Joseph has previously held significant roles including Board Member at The Episcopal Center For Children and Historic Architect for the National Park Service National Mall and Memorial Parks. Joseph's expertise is further demonstrated through positions as Planning Commissioner and Historic District Commissioner for the City of Gaithersburg, Historic Preservation Commissioner for the Montgomery County Planning Department, and Owner/Principal of Coratola Architectural Studio, LLC. Joseph possesses a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree from The Catholic University of America, earned between 1983 and 1988.
