Brian Crites

Brian Crites has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Brian is currently working as a Software Engineer at Archive since November 2022.

Before that, Brian worked at the University of California, Riverside where they held multiple roles such as Study Abroad Instructor, Lecturer, Assistant Project Scientist, Associate Instructor, and Teaching Assistant. Their tenure at the university spanned from December 2013 to present.

Brian also worked at PiñataFarms as a Backend Lead from May 2020 to November 2022, and as a Backend Engineer from May 2020 to November 2020.

Brian briefly worked at Bird as a Software Engineer from January 2020 to April 2020.

In 2016, Brian interned at Google as a Software Engineering Intern, where they developed a new Go-based framework that allowed metric data to be interpreted and replicated. This project, called CloudProber, is currently deployed in the Google Cloud Networking SRE probe stack and has been open-sourced.

Furthermore, Brian gained experience as a Graduate Technical Intern at Intel Corporation in 2013 and as an Engineering Intern at Chegg Inc. in 2012.

Brian Crites has a strong educational background in computer science and computer engineering. Brian completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Riverside from 2008 to 2012. Following their bachelor's degree, Brian pursued further studies and obtained their Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same institution between 2012 and 2014. Continuing their academic journey, they went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at the University of California, Riverside from 2012 to 2018.
